#BlogoftheMonth December 3

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

It has been my practice to use the 3rd of each month to feature the “BLOG OF THE MONTH”. I profile a blog or twitter feed I follow and encourage you to explore it also.

For December I discovered a non-profit leadership blog that appears to be headquartered in Greensboro NC. The name of the organization is Center for Creative Leadership

You can sign up for their newsletter or follow them on Twitter. Their twitter handle is @CCLdotORG I happen to be one of almost 20,000 people that follow them.

They have some great content and one post in particular resonated with me as it relates to the pandemic. COVID has increased fatigue whether physical, mental, or emotional for many of us. I encourage you to read the CCL post on 8 Steps to Become More Resilient

As I interact with friends, colleagues, and clients I encounter a common theme. They have grown weary of plans they have made or adopted being forced to change. I have told all of them that the pandemic has made “World Class Comedians” out of all of us. It gets a big laugh at the plans we make.

When leaders are battling an unknown it puts pressure on their ability to stay resilient. Reading and learning about creative approaches helps us grow. As the blog post says “Great Leaders Are Great Learners

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
