One of the habits I am working on in this month 30 Day Challenge to create The Miracle Morning is to read. Last week as part of my morning leadership reading I came across an article on lifestyle concept called IKIGAI.

IKIGAI is a Japanese word that approximately means to “reason for being”. It is pronounced (pronounced “eye-ka-guy”) and is a lifestyle that strives to balance the spiritual with the practical.

I think IKIGAI provides your life a unique magical purpose. We each have special talents and gifts the secret to a happy life is utilizing them versus denying or push them aside. I have been guilty of that at various times in my life.

The core of IKIGAI is the answer to four questions.

We find our IKIGAI at the intersection of each of these 4 areas. To learn more I suggest you browse a couple of good articles I found during my morning readings.

First is a post by Emily Gibson called How to Find Your IKIGAI and Live a Life of Happiness and Purpose.

Second is an article in Forbes by Chris Myers called How to Find your IKIGAI and Transform your Outlook on Life and Business.

As I read about IKIGAI is appears to me that answering those four questions is what we all should be attempting to do with our very short lives. The answer can provide each of us a life of happiness and purpose.
