#Stocks December 11

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

When it comes to investing many people think of STOCKS. It is often surprising to learn that these STOCKS are bought and sold at various markets and exchanges. Today’s 30 Day Quiz Coach4aday Challenge is to see how much we know about the world’s various STOCK exchanges and markets.

Before we move on to that quiz let’s review yesterday’s results on the knot. Apparently I don’t retain much short term knowledge as I only scored a 60. Knot tying was a 30 Day Challenge in October.

Today’s quiz is an attempt to build up Jeff Neelon’s confidence.

There are various ways that STOCKS are traded. The most common way is through an auction process where buyers and sellers place bids and offers to buy or sell. A bid is the price at which somebody wishes to buy, and an offer (or ask) is the price at which somebody wishes to sell.

One point to keep in mind when you buy a share of stock on the stock market, you are not buying it from the company, you are buying it from some other existing shareholder. Likewise, when you sell your shares, you do not sell them back to the company—rather you sell them to some other investor.

Today’s quiz which can be found on Purpose Games is going to test our knowledge about all of those world wide markets or exchanges. The goal of these daily quizzes is to learn not always score a 100.

I have a lot to learn about this topic and my score indicates that.
