Today marks the 19th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of 9/11 on the United States. I was reflecting on 9/11 and for whatever reason I decided to go back read every post I had written on 9/11.

Today also marks the birthday of our youngest son Mack. He turns 23 today and I still remembering telling him we had to cancel his 4 year old birthday party in 2001. He had a great group of friends growing up that have all experienced a lot since 9/11.

Photo below is that group of boys who are all now young men. I did a post on them in 2015. A link is found at bottom.

I have no crystal ball on what I might write about on the 20th Anniversary of 9/11. I can reflect on what I have written in the past.

9/11 is a day of confusion for me. I am proud of my son who was born on this day but can’t help relive the somber emotion I felt back in 2001.

Posting past blogs just became a reflection on the most significant historical event of my lifetime.
