#Disrupted March 12

In the last twenty-four hours much in our country has been DISRUPTED. The Corona Virus has impacted planning on many levels.

Events both large and small have been cancelled, colleges are attempting to utilize alternative learning, businesses have seen loss of revenue, wedding plans and travel itineraries are in disarray.

Leaders are having to make hard decisions.

I know I have a personality weakness. I am a planner and if something comes up that was not part of my plan it definitely adds to my stress level. I have a hard time dealing with DISRUPTED plans.

I have improved since I retired maybe because I have become wiser or maybe that control of my day belongs more to me than others. I also realize that sometimes it is best to let go of your plans when life DISRUPTS you. Easier said than done on your own.

I logically and spiritually accept that my plan may not be GOD’s plan. His plan DISRUPT ours and without faith and hope we become fearful or stressed. Change creates anxiety if we attempt to resist it without God’s help.

My hope is that I will continue to rely on planning but to carefully listen and observe when GOD is trying to DISRUPT me for his purpose. I do not profess to understand his plan but I trust it.

I hope maturity and especially prayer will allow me to minimize the stress that DISRUPTED change is bringing to the world.
