June 2026 several of us are going to take on theĀ 30-Day Movie Scene Coach4aday Challenge. Each day we share a YouTube clip from a movie and explain what is intriguing about that particular scene. It is a simple daily activity of sharing a Movie Scene.

Rom-coms are not usually my favorite movie genre. That changed for a while when I watched “Always Be My Maybe” in 2019. Sasha, played by Ali Wong, and Marcus, played by Randall Park, were childhood friends who reconnect after 15 years apart. Marcus thinks he finally has a chance with Sasha—until he meets her new boyfriend, KEANU Reeves.

This month marks the 78th consecutive month that friendsĀ Jeff NeelonĀ andĀ Jaclyn DonovanĀ have taken on some sort of challenge. For June 2026 participants simply commit to sharing one movie scene from a film. Each scene just needs to be accompanied by a simple explanation on what is happening or why it was chosen. Hope you decide to join us or enjoy the clips we share.

Day 23-Keanu

One of the funniest scenes in Always Be My Maybe occurs when Marcus meets Sasha’s new boyfriend, Keanu Reeves. Playing an exaggerated version of himself, Reeves makes a dramatic entrance and immediately charms everyone with his confidence, wealth, and celebrity status. Marcus feels completely outmatched and increasingly uncomfortable as Keanu effortlessly becomes the center of attention. The scene is hilarious because Keanu’s over-the-top personality turns an already awkward situation into pure comedy.
