October 2026 several of us are going to take on the 30-Day Celebrity Alma Mater Coach4aday Challenge. Each day we will identify a celebrity and share where they attended college. For Day 23 it is on JONATHAN GOLDSMITH.

Jonathan Goldsmith‘s name was suggested to me this past week. I was speaking at a leadership event when one of the attendees, knowing I was participating in a celebrity challenge, asked if I knew who Goldsmith was. I admitted that I did not. He then explained that Goldsmith was “The Most Interesting Man in the World” from the Dos Equis commercials. FYI for those that do not know that beer is brewed by Heineken. He also shared that Goldsmith lives in Manchester, Vermont, his hometown.

Goldsmith grew up in the Bronx and graduated from Boston University in 1958. After receiving his degree, he decided to pursue acting. To make ends meet he held a number of jobs including working in construction and driving a sanitation truck.

FYI this man just turned 88-maybe the influence of his father being a physical education teacher has added to his longevity.
