For March 2024 several of us will be participating in the “30-Day Shout-Out Coach4aday Challenge”. Today the recipient is BRUCE MULLIS

Bruce Mullis has a deep affection for many things. Among them are his family, his alma mater East Carolina University, Lumberton Recreation, baseball, his golfing buddies, Kiwanis of Robeson Lumberton, and his wife Barbara. It’s important to note that this list is not in any particular order of priority. Trying to make sure Bruce stays married.

March 25th-Bruce Mullis

Bruce is the Director of Finance for Lumberton Housing Authority.

If you get Bruce around baseball or talking about projects that enhance the City of Lumberton Recreation Department you get him to his happy place. Bruce Mullis serves our community in a lot of different ways including as chair of the Recreation Commission. He also has been a driving force with others in having Lumberton NC host a number of Dixie Youth World Series.

He has also been instrumental in Kiwanis of Robeson Lumberton launching a drive to build a handicap accessible playground at Pennington Athletic Park.

Coach4aday

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
