We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

For March 2024 several of us will be participating in the “30-Day Shout-Out Coach4aday Challenge”. This month the theme is give away a SHOUT-OUT to a deserving person or entity.

In its simplest form, a shout-out is a heartfelt message conveying support, encouragement, or congratulations. In our modern era, countless individuals seek validation through likes, follows, and retweets. However, deep within us lies a yearning for authentic recognition beyond these superficial gestures.

We all possess the ability to brighten someone’s day by acknowledging and praising their actions and achievements. When we take the time to recognize and celebrate others, we have the power to make a meaningful impact on their lives.

Consider joining Jeff Neelon, Jaclyn Donovan, and me is giving away a daily shout-out to someone or an organization. Joe Butler we would love to have you join us.

Day 1-Margie Herthel

For the majority of the 1,000 subscribers to this daily blog you probably will not recognize the name Margie Herthel. She is a quiet unassuming member of First Presbyterian Church that consistently performs duties that most people do not notice.

Margie works for the Public Schools of Robeson County in the Finance Department. She is one of those people in an organization that makes sure people paychecks arrive on time. She is conscientious of any and all responsibilities in her professional role. It is no surprise on Sunday mornings she is doing the same thing for her church.

Each Sunday, she diligently arrives an hour before the early service at 8:30 am. Her tasks encompass unlocking doors, arranging the communion table, lighting candles, locating friendship pads, setting up the pastor’s wireless microphone, and even finding time to brew coffee. Following the service, her dedication extends further as she ensures everything is cleaned and returned to its rightful place.

My Day 1 Shout Out is to Margie-Hope you will consider giving someone today a SHOUT-OUT for doing more than what is expected-Margie is a poster child for selfless service to others.
