June 2026 several of us are going to take on theĀ 30-Day Movie Scene Coach4aday Challenge. Each day we share a YouTube clip from a movie and explain what is intriguing about that particular scene. It is a simple daily activity of sharing a Movie Scene.
In 1988 a film debuted titled “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” starring Bob Hoskins as Eddie Valiant. This movie is about a cartoon rabbit accused of a murder he did not commit. A private detective (Eddie Valiant) helps Roger find the real killer and uncover a plot that threatens both cartoons and humans. One of the great scenes in the film includes a drive thru TOON TOWN.
This month marks the 78th consecutive month that friendsĀ Jeff NeelonĀ andĀ Jaclyn DonovanĀ have taken on some sort of challenge. For June 2026 participants simply commit to sharing one movie scene from a film. Each scene just needs to be accompanied by a simple explanation on what is happening or why it was chosen. Day 22-Toon Town
Eddie Valiant during a chase scene drives into Toon Town. The colorful, animated world is filled with bouncing buildings, talking objects, and cartoon characters moving in every direction. The scene showcases the film’s groundbreaking blend of live action and animation while introducing viewers to the wild and unpredictable home of the toons.
Nearly every major sequenceāincluding Toon Town, the Ink and Paint Club, Benny the Cab, and Roger Rabbit’s appearancesārequired extensive animation work. In total, animators created more than 55,000 individual animation cels for the film, making it one of the most ambitious combinations of live action and animation ever produced.
