June 2026 several of us are going to take on the 30-Day Movie Scene Coach4aday Challenge. Each day we share a YouTube clip from a movie and explain what is intriguing about that particular scene. It is a simple daily activity of sharing a Movie Scene. My focus today is on a character named LORD BALTIMORE who was part of the film Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid.

This month marks the 78th consecutive month that friends Jeff Neelon and Jaclyn Donovan have taken on some sort of challenge. For June 2026 participants simply commit to sharing one movie scene from a film. Each scene just needs to be accompanied by a simple explanation on what is happening or why it was chosen. Hope you decide to join us or enjoy the clips we share.

Day 1-Lord Baltimore

The movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was released in the United States on October 24, 1969. Starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford, it became one of the most popular western films of its era and won four Academy Awards.

Butch and Sundance were train robbers and had hit the Union Pacific Railroad several times with their “Hole in the Wall Gang” Eventually the financiers of the railroad had enough and sent a skilled posse with an exceptional tracker named Lord Baltimore to chase them down. During the film Butch and Sundance try everything to elude them. The scene I’m sharing is when they realize what they are up against in Lord Baltimore and that posse.
