For the month of August, I am participating in the 30-Day Phone Apps Coach4adayChallenge. Today the focus is on a way for people of different languages to TRANSLATE what each other is saying.

The goal each day is to explore a different application each month that I could use or experiment with on my iPhone or desktop.

August 5th-Translate Phone Application

TRANSLATE is an innovative iPhone app that offers seamless and accurate translation services. With a user-friendly interface, it allows users to translate text, voice, and images between multiple languages in real-time, making it a handy tool for travelers, language learners, and anyone in need of instant communication support.

What makes this app so valuable is it can be used with 11 different languages. According to Apple, the Translate app comes preloaded with the iOS 14 software and higher. My phone is currently using iOS 16.6.

In fairness if you are looking for more than eleven languages you may want to explore Google Tranlsate.

iOS 15 has a new feature for the iPhone camera that makes it possible to translate text from real life in the camera app, and from text in images on the Photos app.

Curious if anyone has used this while traveling.
