For the month of August, I am participating in the 30-Day Phone Apps Coach4adayChallenge. Today the focus in on a mobile game app for CRIBBAGE.

The goal each day is to explore a different application each month that I could use or experiment with on my iPhone or desktop.

August 4-JD Software Cribbage

Cribbage is a classic card game typically played by two players. The objective is to create card combinations, score points, and strategically peg along a wooden board to reach 121 points before your opponent.

My brother Thomas Kenney taught me the game on a visit to see him in Maine during the winter of 2019. While there we played every evening at 5pm. When I returned home to North Carolina I told my brother there was an online CRIBBAGE app. We both downloaded it with the assistance of our children and continued to play almost every day around 5PM until he passed away in June 2019.

The name of that app is Cribbage JD

Features

This mobile app lets you play the classic card game Cribbage anywhere without needing your wooden pegging board. The board is shown below.

JD Software offers the option to play either online or offline, and one of its highlights is the automatic scoring provided by the built-in calculator in the app. Players can also benefit from a detailed breakdown of point distribution after each hand, which enhances the learning experience and understanding of the game’s scoring mechanics.

Curious if anyone else plays online?
