For February 2024 several of us will be participating in the “30-Day RE Coach4aday Challenge”. The challenge involves utilizing a word that includes the prefix Re. Today my word is REITERATE.

Occasionally, articulating a thought once isn’t sufficient, and you may find yourself in need of a word for that. Allow me to suggest “reiterate.”

Frequently, individuals may observe that a speaker, preacher, or professor tends to echo the same message repeatedly. By employing the term “reiterate,” you aim to convey a sense of nuance beyond mere repetition.

An illustrative instance showcasing the distinction between reiteration and repetition is the substitution of words to convey an identical message. Let’s look at this example.

First Sentence-The safety of children riding our busses is our number one priority.

Reiteration-Ensuring the safety of children riding our buses remains our utmost priority.

The two sentences are nuanced and not repeated verbatim.
