For the month of May 2024 several of us are taking on the 30-Day Astronomy Coach4aday Challenge. The simple concept is to learn something about the cosmos each day. For May 7th it is a brief explanation about VENUS and locating it in the sky.
Venus is the second planet from the Sun, and the sixth-largest planet in the Solar System. It is also the brightest object in our sky after the moon and sun. It often gets labeled as a UFO.
Astronomy Challenge Suggested Guidelines
Like previous challenges there are no hard and fast rules to participate. There are a few suggested guidelines.
