In 2021 any day of the month that has the number 4 in the date becomes a day to post about one of the FOLLOWERS of this blog.

I started blogging in 2014 on the free WordPress platform. I never envisioned when I started blogging in 2014 that I would ever have 100 people FOLLOWING that free site. In 2019 I decided to create a Coach4aday website and post the same content at both sites. Today in 2021 the number of FOLLOWERS exceeds 2,500. There are 1,300 on the free site, 725 FOLLOWING via the website, and 500 plus via Twitter. If you want to follow the blog click here and choose how you want to subscribe.

One of the fascinating things about blogging is how people discover your site. The FOLLOWER I want to profile today is BEYZA ÇITAK and she lives in Istanbul. It is a city of some 15 million people. Beyza is one of the four creators of a website called Texture of Parlance. Each one of the founders are in-service English language teachers.

Beyza does a lot of work with Istanbul Volunteers. She also dabbles in blogging, games, and digital content production. Her professional goal is to obtain a master’s degree in educational technology.

For us born in the United States we all struggle with the many variance the English language presents. Take the following sentence-

“The bandage was wound around his leg to cover his wound.”

The word wound is used two different ways and pronounced differently. That is not easy to learn. What impresses me about Beyza is a post she wrote about her journey in learning English. It was called My Arduous Journey of Learning English. Beginning to learn English in 4th grade as a secondary language is a challenge and I admire she now teaches English.

If you are looking for a site that not only discusses teaching strategies but all kinds of interesting topics consider following Texture of Parlance. Thanks Beyza for all your likes on Coach4aday.
