It is amazing when you just simply REARRANGE a thought, a phrase, or even letters how it changes everything. Social scientists have studied how changing our thoughts delivers big results. Just like in the game of Scrabble when we move letters around we can create different words.

Take for example the word stressed. It can be REARRANGED to spell dessert. We all would love to have more dessert and less stress. How we position letters can create all types of words. Each word has its own meaning. The same concept can work for sentences and thoughts. A subtle change can make a big difference.

I recently watched a video by James Clear where he was talking about goals. He was adamant about how to REARRANGE goals and replace them with an affirmation. Here are three specific examples:

The goal is not to read a book but to become a reader.

The goal is not to finish a marathon but to become a runner

The goal is not to write a book but to become a writer.

Sometimes we need to REARRANGE the purpose of life’s journey. The quest should not be just to achieve but rather to become.
