For December 2023, several of us are participating in the “30-Day ANATOMY Coach4aday Challenge.” My choice today is the ABDOMINAL Wall.

During this challenge, the participants select a bone or muscle in the human body, providing details about its location and physiological significance.

How the Challenge Works

  1. Identify one anatomical part of the body.
  2. Describe what its purpose is.
  3. Describe where it is located.

Identify Your Choice

Today my choice is an entire muscle area of the human body the Abdominal Wall.

Purpose

The abdominal wall does not only contain and protect the intra-abdominal organs but can distend, generate intrabdominal pressure, and move the vertebral column.

Location

It surrounds and protects the abdominal cavity, which houses various organs such as the stomach, liver, intestines, and others.

Coach4aday

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
