#Evaporation January 29

We have all seen steam rising from black asphalt road on a hot summer day after a rain shower. What we are witnessing is EVAPORATION.

As the rising vapors from the road cool, some of it condenses into tiny droplets that we see as floating streamers that resemble smoke that we call steam. Eventually, the rising steam or fog hit drier air and disappear. EVAPORATION is one process by which a liquid turns into a gas. A second process is boiling which also turns water into steam.

In life we often see some of what we perceive as burdens EVAPORATE and turn into actual gifts. I have so many examples of challenges, problems, predicaments, moments of doubt and fear, all transformed from one state to another. Just like water going from a rain (liquid) to steam (gas), problems and negative thoughts are subjected to EVAPORATION also.

I have been troubled, burdened, and worried about something I have to confront someone with, only to see it EVAPORATE or transform from concern to joy. I have been faced with requests I did not want to accept. I accepted reluctantly only to see them become the best part of my life. I have dealt with unexpected turn of events in my professional and personal life only to see over time them EVAPORATE and disappear.

In nature we know that changes to temperature can transform liquid into a gas. What we forget is in our lives that our thoughts and God’s grace can cause problems to EVAPORATE.
