April 2026 will take a slightly different approach to the 30-Day Challenge. Each day of the month, I’ll be participating in the 30-Day Tai Chi Coach4aday Challenge. What will be different this time is that my daily posts won’t be limited to that day’s exercises—I want the freedom to share more spontaneous and wide-ranging thoughts along the way.
I will still include the focus of each day’s Tai Chi routine, but much of what I write may explore topics far removed from exercise. Just as Tai Chi is designed to improve flexibility, I hope my writing reflects that same sense of openness and adaptability each day. For Day One the theme will just be TAI CHI.

“Tai Chi” 30 Day Challenge
Searching online for a 30-Day program brought me face to face with lots of options but I have chosen a plan led by Dr Alan Potts PT. You can download the schedule I am utilizing at this link.
It looks like this.

Challenge Guidelines
- View the daily video and mirror what you see.
- Complete all 30 daily exercises

April 1st Random Thoughts
Even before beginning, I can feel some of the familiar emotions that have accompanied past challenges. The strongest is that internal pushback—why step outside my comfort zone?
My brain is already running through its checklist:
- You’ll look foolish.
- Will this really help you become more flexible?
- You’re not good enough—you’ll never master this.
Not surprisingly, when I finished, it reinforced a universal truth—the worry was far greater than the reality. Make no mistake, I still have a lot to learn and master with Tai Chi, but simply getting started proved that my fear and doubt were much stronger than the actual experience of Day 1.
