#Recap December 31

Yesterday ended the 30-Day Sketch Coach4aday Challenge. Today is a RECAP for that December 2022 Challenge.

Appreciate the diligence and consistency of two pretty good sketch artists that joined me. Jeff Neelon and Jaclyn Donovan produced some clever drawings this past month.

My favorite sketch from Jeff is shown below is this duck that came from the prompt Cross Hatch.

Jaclyn’s best effort in my opinion was on the prompt Blossom. She depicted an orange blossom.

For me I truly believed I learned and made progress. Sketching was something I did not feel gifted at. That was the driver to do this challenge to see if with some repetition I could improve. Embedded in this endeavor was the concept of getting comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Self-evaluations can often be filled with a lot of illusory superiorities or the overconfidence effect. That is probably the case with me, but I believe my best sketch came near the end of the Challenge on December 27th when the prompt was soft. I drew these two pillows.
