For September I am participating in the 30-Day Literary Lesson Coach4aday Challenge today the lesson is on CHALLENGES.
This past week my wife and I got to be on a podcast called AdventuRetired. The hosts Curt and Cindy Liljedahl wanted to learn about the various 30-Day Challenges I have completed in retirement. The conversation focused on purpose and origin of the 30 plus challenges that have been attempted.
Literary Lessons about Challenges
One person who influenced me was Matt Cutts who did a great Ted Talk about 30 Day Challenges
Another person who is on a similar plane is Ben Aldridge. He started completing challenges as a way to learn more about himself. The reason was to find a method to deal with his severe and debilitating anxiety. What he discovered was that by stepping outside of his comfort zone and completing challenges helped alleviate anxiety. Facing his fears and leaning into them changed his life.
Here are three books that Ben has authored.
Taking on 30 Day Challenges each month has galvanized a learning concept for me. To learn you have to leave your comfort zone. That makes us uncomfortable
