#Where February 16

During my ordeal with COVID in January I never concerned myself on WHERE I was going that day.

To be honest it just wasn’t WHERE I was going physically it also applied to my emotional mindset. I accepted WHERE I was headed didn’t matter. Apathy on destination was my navigation system. I don’t recommend you install it but for a couple of weeks I was using it.

In the 1865 classic novel Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland written by Lewis Carroll there is a point in the book where Alice has a dialog with a Cheshire Cat. She is attempting to determine which way to go. The Cat offers up some sage advice by asking her WHERE she wants to go? She replies “I don’t much care WHERE”-which the Cat responds by saying that it doesn’t matter which way you go.

Ideally when each day begins we should have a choice on WHERE we want to go. Sometimes a day isn’t ideal and we are left responding like Alice by saying “I don’t much care WHERE“. Without direction or purpose we still will arrive somewhere at the end of each day. For me during those two weeks battling COVID I wasn’t headed WHERE I wanted to go.

I got reminded during COVID that my life is better when I have a purpose on WHERE I am headed.

So as I begin today I know WHERE I want to go. I want to learn something new. I will spend time on my daily habits. Finally I want to invest some of my time in others. Being engaged in these activities is going to take me WHERE I want to go.
