Researching famous people from Wyoming I came across a man born in Green River, WY who became famous for his VOICE.

He had various nicknames in his life including “Cowboy” and the “VOICE of the Red Sox”. Curt Gowdy was born in 1919 and went on to participate in college baseball and tennis at the University of Wyoming. He had a real passion for fishing and became great friends and fishing buddies with Ted Williams.
