#Rejuvenate February 23

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

For February 2024 several of us will be participating in the “30-Day RE Coach4aday Challenge”. The challenge involves utilizing a word that includes the prefix Re. Today my word is REJUVENATE.

According to Merriam-Webster this word originated as a combination of the prefix re-, which means “again,” with the Latin parent of juvenile and juniorjuvenis, meaning “young.” So simply put rejuvenate means to become young again.

The promise of rejuvenation is a staple of advertising for a number of products. That promise is often not attenable especially when it comes to some product claiming to cure a whole host of aging issues. In fact, in 2021 the FTC reached a settlement with the makers of ReJuvenation.

The quest for youth is not a new societal issue. When it comes to discovering the Fountain of Youth or some magic potion history goes back to Alexader the Great and his reputed claim of discovering the River of Paradise.

Rules of the Challenge

Organizing the 30-Day RE Coach4aday Challenge involves performing, writing, or sharing about an event that captures the essence of the prefix. connections.

Here is how to participate.

  1. Identify what word that uses the prefix RE you choosing for the day. It is okay to repeat words.
  2. Describe or share how you accomplished utilizing that word.
  3. Do this daily for 30 Days posting on social media with the hashtag #Coach4adayChallenge

February 23-Self-Care and Rejuvenation

Frequently, the most productive individuals possess a blind spot that hampers their ability to sustain success: neglecting self-care.

Back in 2020 I discovered a link to 40 Self Care Techniques that can rejuvenate you. The post was written by Sarah Liddle.

Item #33 on her list is something I have found in retirement. that is crucial. That tip is “Eliminate tasks that drain your energy or don’t bring you joy” (delegate or delete them).

Feeling young again is not coming from the River of Paradise, Fountain of Youth or popping ReJuvenation it is going be investing in habits that restore our energy levels.
