Came across a fascinating author and psychologist named Dr. William Glasser.

William Glasser May 11, 1925-August 23, 2013

He wrote a number of books and he has a bunch of quotes on many different aspects of life.

Here is a link to his quotes

My favorite is on how we LEARN.

  • 10% of what we read.
  • 20% of what we hear.
  • 30% of what we see.
  • 50% of what we see and hear.
  • 70% of what we discuss with others.
  • 80% of what we personally experience.
  • 95% of what we teach others

One way to think about teaching to others is model. We all decide on how we will model our lives with daily habits and choices. We model what respect to others looks like. We model emotional control. We model integrity. Our examples as leaders do teach and influence others.

Leaders have to understand the best ways to grow and LEARN.

How we lead our own lives is the best lesson we can teach to others. It is also a reminder on the best way to LEARN any leadership skill.

Coach4aday

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
