It is amazing what perspective can accomplish. For those that have beautiful lawns or gardens WEEDS are not such a good thing. The viewpoint that they are ugly and unwanted is pretty common.

For my granddaughter Bryleigh who is not yet three, seeing the WEED we call a dandelion is just an adventure and delight.

The photo below shows her chasing after dandelions earlier this spring.

Bryleigh Revels running after dandelions

When she sees a dandelion getting ready to bloom it becomes a toy to occupy her mind. She picks it up and twirls it around until all the seeds have blown off.

When she sees the bright yellow flowers of a dandelion she calls them pretty.

She doesn’t know yet that most people view the dandelion as a WEED. Perspective is amazing. That is a lesson I am glad my granddaughter taught me during COVID 19.
