For March 2024 several of us will be participating in the “30-Day Shout-Out Coach4aday Challenge”. Today the recipient is JAMES BASS.

On Thursday night my wife and I attended a concert at the Givens Performing Arts Center at UNC Pembroke to listen to Brass Transit which is a tribute band to Chicago. That group was booked because of the talent of JAMES BASS the Executive Director and his team.

James is depicted below.

It takes a special talent to book a show that will connect with the audience and James has that ability.

The Brass Transit concert was fantastic and if you closed your eyes, you would have thought James Bass had Peter Cetera, Terry Kath or Robert Lamm up on stage singing behind some powerful horns. I posted a video from their webpage covering the song “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?

James Bass also has a discriminating ear for music, a penchant for celebrities especially musicians, actors, and professional wrestlers. He also has a creative vision with photography. If you are Facebook Friends with him, you get to see images of all of the above with his posts.

Here is a picture he posted with Rowdy Roddy Piper. James is on the receiving end of a hug.

If you live in Lumberton his house on Chestnut Street goes all in for Halloween and Christmas. James thanks for being one of the leaders in the county to bring the arts to our residents.

Coach4aday

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
