My granddaughter Bryleigh has a number of older cousins that worship her. One of her cousins Genna is the niece of my son-in-law. The photo below depicts them a couple of months ago.
Next week Genna is off to interview at Duke University as a candidate for one of their professional schools. She has been getting a lot of valuable advice on how to prepare for an INTERVIEW. She is excited but realizes that obtaining the INTERVIEW is just the next step not the final destination. She is putting in the work by following a lot of great advice.
Some of the fantastic wisdom she has received has included the following:
- Start by researching the company and your interviewers.
- Practice your answers to common interview questions.
- Recruit a friend to practice answering questions.
- Be prepared with examples of your work.
- Plan your interview attire the night before.
- Prepare smart questions for your interviewers.
- Bring copies of your resume, a notebook and pen.
- Arrive 15 minutes early to your interview.
- Make a great first impression.
- Win them over with your authenticity and positivity.
In addition to all the preparation and hard work that Genna has been doing for the INTERVIEW she hasn’t forgotten to trust that God has a wonderful plan for her life. With preparation and that trust I am convinced she will be fantastic.
