I have written before where I utilize my frugality and love of reading by participating in PaperBackSwap. You list books you have finished reading and other people claim them. For each book you mail to someone you earn a credit to claim a book listed by another member. It is free to join.

Last week I received a book written by OG Mandino.

I was curious on the name OG so I researched his bio. His real name Augustine “OG” Mandino II. He died in 1996 at the age of 72.

The book I am reading by OG is called The Greatest Salesman in the World.

The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino

It was published for the first time in 1968. It is a tiny book and takes you thru a journey of Hafid, a poor camel boy who goes on to acquire a life full of abundance. He is impacted by ten ancient scrolls. Each scroll contains a life lesson.

The book is a must read for anyone serious about adjusting their attitude in a positive direction.

The other part of reading book is getting to know the life story of the author OG. He had tough times as a child, flew bombing missions in WWII, became an insurance agent, and eventually became addicted to alcohol. He drinking cost him first marriage and had him contemplating suicide.

OG credits reading to saving his life and getting him on a path to sobriety. When we feed our mind positive life lessons change is not far behind. Those lessons he garnered from reading inspired him to write the book.

OG I was pleased to read your book.
