June 2026 several of us are going to take on the 30-Day Movie Scene Coach4aday Challenge. Each day we share a YouTube clip from a movie and explain what is intriguing about that particular scene. It is a simple daily activity of sharing a Movie Scene.
Living during the past seven decades has had me part of many pivotal moments in US Presidential History. The film “The Butler” released in 2013 starring Forrest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey captures many of them. Whitaker character is Cecil Gaines a BUTLER at the White House.
This month marks the 78th consecutive month that friends Jeff Neelon and Jaclyn Donovan have taken on some sort of challenge. For June 2026 participants simply commit to sharing one movie scene from a film. Each scene just needs to be accompanied by a simple explanation on what is happening or why it was chosen. Day 28-Butler
The Butler is a special historical movie because it tells the story of American history through the eyes of one man, Cecil Gaines, an African American BUTLER who serves eight U.S. presidents over several decades. The film was inspired by the real-life story of White House butler Eugene Allen, who served presidents from Harry S. Truman through Ronald Reagan.
Lots of great moments in the movie but I selected the trailer which covers a number of them.
