October 2026 several of us are going to take on the 30-Day Celebrity Alma Mater Coach4aday Challenge. Each day we will identify a celebrity and share where they attended college. For Day 30 it is on SEAN MCVAY.

Back in the late 1950’s Miami of Ohio dubbed itself the “Cradle of Coaches” due the number of football coaches that had ties to that university. The list included Miami graduates Paul Dietzel (LSU) and Ara Parseghian (Northwestern/Notre Dame) who led college football teams, while Paul Brown (Cleveland Browns) and Weeb Ewbank (Baltimore Colts) led pro football.

Others would follow those four including John Harbaugh (Baltimore Colts/NY Giants)-Bo Schembachler (Michigan) and Sean McVay (LA Rams).

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
