In August 2025, many of us participated in the 30-Day Governors Coach4aday Challenge. Each day, we highlighted one of the 2,300+ U.S. Governors—past or present—sharing insights into their achievements, controversies, or unique aspects of their careers. For today I’m bringing the month to a close with a RECAP.

Reading the biographies of U.S. Governors shows how diverse paths—law, business, farming, the military, and activism—can all lead to the governorship. Each of them was like each of us flawed in some way. Despite the imperfections they changed lives with more times than not for the better. Appreciate Jeff Neelon and Jaclyn Donovan being part of this 68th consecutive challenge.
