#Appreciation January 1

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Yesterday I talked about my 2021 priorities. Today I begin a 30 Day APPRECIATION Challenge with a number of friends. It may not resonate with everyone but it is an important priority for me.

Very simply this challenges requires you to either share or tell someone how much you APPRECIATE them and why.

APPRECIATION is a an important part of keeping any relationship strong. APPRECIATION can sometimes heal a relationship wound. APPRECIATION is actually a secret weapon for any leader. If you are part of a team APPRECIATION will increase loyalty, productivity, and transform your team.

Yet despite all of those reasons that is not what has me excited about taking it on. The research is really clear when we show APPRECIATION each day it positively affects how you feel about your own life. One of my priorities for 2021 is to spend time on habits that bring positivity into my life.

So how does the APPRECIATION Challenge work. There is no one way or perfect way. My 30 Day APPRECIATION Challenge will be posting ten things I APPRECIATE – every day, for 30 days. I will be doing that using the hashtag #Coach4adayChallenge.

You can modify this 30 Day Challenge by choosing not to post-you can choose a smaller number of events. The important thing is to choose being APPRECIATIVE. It will bring positivity to the beginning of 2021.

Come join us. All of us would really APPRECIATE your inclusion. Just type I’M IN in the comments and when you post your list on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn or some other platform just use #Coach4adayChallenge

Here is my list for today on 10 People/Things I APPRECIATE

  1. In 1972 Tom Quinn and Dave Patton the basketball coaches at East Carolina took a chance on me and allowed me to become part of the ECU Basketball Program. That decision altered my life.

  3. The sense of sight, touch, smell, hearing, and taste.
  4. That my best friend happens to be my wife.
