For March 2024 several of us will be participating in the “30-Day Shout-Out Coach4aday Challenge”. Today the recipient is SCOTT COLCLOUGH.
Scott Colclough is one of my former Assistant Coaches at UNC Pembroke and a long-time friend. Scott is a retired full professor and associate dean at Middle Tennessee State University. Scott spent over 40 years in education much of it teaching at the university level. Some of his stops included Chowan, UNC Pembroke, NC A&T and of course MTSU.

- Identify who gets the daily Shout-Out and make sure they know you are recognizing them.
- Describe why you giving them a Shout-Out-what are they doing that is notable?
- Do this daily for 30 Days posting on social media with the hashtag #Coach4adayChallenge

March 9th-Scott Colclough
In 2021 Scott was inducted into the Chowan University Hall of Fame.
Dr. Scott Colclough spent two stints at Chowan His first stint at Chowan saw him serve as a Head Resident Director of Parker Hall and the defensive line coach for the football program. Scott spent three years at Chowan, meeting coaches and staff that helped guide him along in the collegiate athletic realm. He left Chowan for UNC-Pembroke to teach and coach and began working on his PhD at Middle Tennessee State University. He was at UNC Pembroke until 1989 when he left to go teach at NC A&T.
In 1992 he left A&T to go back to Chowan. They were making the transition from a 2 year to a 4-year college. In 1998 he went to Middle Tennessee where he retired as Faculty Emeritus.
He has had a distinguished career, and I was fortunate to have a Hall of Famer as my assistant coach.
