In our local school system tomorrow is the first day of classes. Busses and cars will pull up to local schools and drop children off that need a caring adult in their life.

Tomorrow is a day that a TEACHER will make a lasting impact on a student. More often than not the TEACHER will not receive feedback that they have made a difference.

My heart has been troubled over the past three weeks when I heard the story of young child not more than 6 years old who lives in a home with parents that are not supportive or caring. He was in a caring loving foster home but a legal petition returned him to his parents.

I have no doubt when classes start today there will be other children like this one.

I want to thank every TEACHER for choosing this profession. I want to remind every TEACHER you are in the relationship business not just the education profession.

As a TEACHER you have that opportunity to be that caring adult. THANK YOU for the success stories you are creating that you may never hear about. Trust me you do make a difference.
