Everyday that I write a post I realize how little I know about words. There are many words that can be both a noun and a verb. Here is a list of some of those words.

One word that is not on the list above is SHROUD.

When we look at the second definition above for SHROUD as a noun we see “a thing that envelops or obscures something”.

There are habits and emotions that SHROUD our ability to see all the wonderful things that GOD has done for each of us. Selfishness and greed are two that will do that to each of us.

There will be periods in our lives where all we can experience is gloom and doom. The way to remain optimistic is to have faith and hope. The answer for me is easy put your faith and hope in GOD.

Faith and hope alone have to be combined with action. It is comforting to me to know when you read Isaiah 25:1-9 you receive an important message:

On this mountain he will destroy
the SHROUD that enfolds all peoples,
the sheet that covers all nations;

GOD will not leave anyone hopeless. His love can remove whatever is blocking our ability to see. Those are words that I understand and believe.
