I have a friend, Tito Massol who got to watch the SUNRISE over the Grand Canyon with his daughter Helena on Wednesday. They are on a road trip from Seattle to New Orleans. They have traveled the Pacific Coast Highway, see the gigantic sequoia trees, and been to 4 National Parks. What a great experience.

I continue to be fascinated about the circadian rhythms of our daily lives. One of the daily events that can boost our natural energy is watching a SUNRISE even if it is not at the Grand Canyon.

Here is a picture of a SUNRISE I got to witness on Monday Feb. 3rd. from my home in Lumberton NC.

Dr. Molly Maloof is a physician and a technician.

In college she discovered her body craved sunlight. She began to find ways living in Illinois to attack this issue with light therapy. Here is a good blog post on Molly from Visual Therapy

One of my Gratitude Journal entries last month was about the beauty of a SUNRISE. I can say the same thing about a sunset.

For me a SUNRISE unfolds pretty quickly. I just need a moment, place my daily task list on hold, and enjoy. I just observe, breathe, and almost immediately my happiness increases tenfold. All from a SUNRISE.

If you are looking for a quick morning boost to your metabolism think about a daily prescription of SUNRISE.
