Today’s 30 Day Daily Prompt for the #Coach4adayChallenge is identifying your favorite SEASON of the year.

Surveys have consistently pointed out where we live may alter our opinion on favorite time of the year. Another factor is our age. Below is a bar graph representing preferences on SEASONS by age.

My Favorite Season of the Year

For a variety of reasons I love Autumn. Leaf colors are changing, cool nights and warm days, football games, evenings sitting by the outdoor fire pit, disappearance of mosquitos, ending the evening in our hot tub looking at the stars, and holidays like Thanksgiving.

Secondary reasons involve getting to attend different events that occur in the fall. Homecoming football games, walks along the beach, and the NC State Fair are two that come to mind. It might not be for everybody but going to breweries and enjoying outdoor seating is also enjoyable.

Since I mentioned breweries it is also the time of year that you can find great Octoberfest themed beers.

Finally in the part of the world I live in traditionally October is the driest month of the year. There are exceptions and I point out October 2016 when Hurricane Matthew drenched southeastern NC.

Those are my reasons for selecting Autumn as my favorite SEASON. What is yours?
