Today thanks to the efforts of Tony Dellinger the UNC Pembroke Basketball Family will hold their annual basketball REUNION for alumni.
What is really cool about this annual event is that former players, managers, and coaches from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 00’s,10’s all show up.
It is a passion for Tony along with support from UNC Pembroke Alumni and Athletic Offices to get this event organized. Alexis Locklear and Adam Hardin both help Tony make the event shine.
I heard it said that alumni are the brand-ambassadors of the institution they graduated from. Well let me tell you Tony Dellinger is a fantastic ambassador.
A REUNION is way for that brand to be showcased. Many universities attempt to have effective alumni relationship but they need to remember it begins with providing a successful experience to the students.
At UNC Pembroke in the sport of basketball people like Dick Lauffer, Howard Dean, Lacey Gane, Joe Gallagher, Billy Lee, John Haskins, Jason Tinsley, and Ben Miller provided that positive experience to past students. Today it is Tony Jones turn as he serves as UNC Pembroke Head Basketball Coach.
When students have a great experience it makes it a little easier for a tireless worker like Tony Dellinger to spearhead a REUNION. Today the past experiences of many at UNC Pembroke will bring them together for a great REUNION.
