#Moment April 21

Where are your thoughts right now? Are you thinking of a future event? Remembering something from your past? The more I read and learn about what makes up a fulfilled life the answer lies in living in the MOMENT.

About a year ago when the pandemic was a couple of months old I wrote a post about MOMENT. I sometimes revisit an old post to see if I can improve on a concept I have previously written about.

Reading what I wrote I was pleased what was included in one passage. It went like this.

That teachable MOMENT is that life can change in a hurry. It can change without any concern for your grand plans. It can change without asking for our permission. It can change at the worst possible time. It can change right as your are about to achieve something fantastic.

The #Coach4adayChallenge of 30 Days Observing Nature has prevented the unobserved and unseized MOMENTS of my life from slipping away. The reason is I was not fretting over the future or ruminating about the past. My daily habit of observing something in nature has helped minimize the time on life’s hamster wheel. We all seem to get in a rut that is often caused by thoughts that are never about the here and now. When we are at work we think of the upcoming weekend. When the weekend comes we worry about our work load.

I am no Zen Master or expert on the Art of Meditation but what I have found is when I rest in the MOMENT of stillness I begin to truly live in the present. It is amazing what a daily dose of observing in silence provides. Observing nature in the MOMENT provides me a peace of mind.

Leaving you with 60 seconds of Nature I found on YouTube. Just get still and enjoy the MOMENT.
