Phones have become an important part of our lives. What we do with older phones becomes an environmental issue. In fact throwing away phones (what is called E-Waste) might just be costing you money along with harming the planet. Despite the potential savings an estimated 150 million phones are discarded world wide annually. There are ingenious ways to REPURPOSE.

Last month Reader’s Digest had an article written by Elisa Roland that was titled “What to Do with Old Cell Phones: 14 Genius Ideas”. What popped out to me that there were several apps that can turn an old phone into something very useful. Some of the hacks included an infant monitor, DIY security camera, bedside alarm clock, and car tracking device.

REPURPOSING is not just limited to phones. Transforming an older PC also is possible. Click here to see what Digital Trends and Craig Lloyd have to offer.
