For Day 14 of the 30-Day Ingredient Coach4aday Challenge I am determining what the difference between fruit juice and drinks.

Sometimes a real simple company name can do a lot for a brand. Take the Simply Orange Juice Company and their bestselling product SIMPLY Orange. This would be a very short post is I just focused on that one product. Simply Orange is 100% juice. It is actual a holding of Minute Maid who has been acquired by Coca-Cola.

Here is the back of the bottle with ingredients

Juice and Drinks

When I think of Simply Orange, I equate that all other products made by the company would be 100%. In the US to be called that it has to contain 100% juice. A blend with other ingredients, such as high-fructose corn syrup gets labeled as a fruit drink.

I have learned that my thinking was flawed on all the products that contained the “Simply” brand. Each beverage from Simply contains varying degrees of fruit juice. They all are not 100% juice.

I have been drinking a lot of Simply Peach and that subtle title difference from Simply Orange should have alerted me to it not being the same. Simply Orange is a 100% Fruit Juice and Simply Peach is just 17%.
