Throughout December 2024, several of us are taking part in the 30-Day PPT Coach4aday Challenge. PPT is an acronym for People Places or Things. Each day we share our insights, thoughts, or memories about a person (living or dead), a place (we have visited or learned about) or a thing that intrigues us. Today I’m featuring JOE BUTLER.

Every community needs a Good News Ambassador. Uplifting messages helps people make it through their daily lives. I have a friend that is really a friend to all of Lumberton, NC and always is bringing everyone good news. His name is Joe Butler

Joe has many causes he is involved with including Kiwanis of Robeson Lumberton raise funds to build an accessible playground in Lumberton NC.

People, Places, & Things 30-Day Challenge Guidelines

Like previous challenges there are no hard and fast rules to participate. There are a few suggested guidelines

  1. Each day in December 2024 write about a Person, Place or Thing-PPT
  2. Share at least one fact, memory, or quality about your subject choice.
  3. If so inclined use the hash tag #Coach4adayChallenge on social media platforms

December 16th-Joe Butler

Today will be a hectic day so my post today has a heavy dose of convenience versus originality.

Over the past ten years I have written about Joe twice. The first mention took place on May 20, 2015, and the second earlier this year on March 13, 2024. I have linked both dates to those posts.

There are so many ways that people demonstrate leadership. Joe’s gift is that of an encourager. Life is hard and often people are right at the edge of caving into their despair and hopeless emotions. That is when the Good News Ambassador for Lumberton NC appears to many people. Thanks JB.

Coach4aday

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
