Autumn for some is the best time of year because of their fascination with Halloween, Football, Pumpkin Latte, and for me FOLIAGE.

When trees begin to shed their leaves for the winter some of the colors can be spectacular. Earlier this week I wrote about the Blue Ridge Parkway and in the month of October it will be besieged with visitors attempting to catch a glimpse of fall foliage. Last week walking on the campus of Virginia Tech I captured beautiful photos of trees in that transition.

Leaves can change their color from as early as mid-September all the way through early November it depends on the region and of course the weather. If you are thinking of where some of the best places might be consider the list below:
