I continued to be more and more concerned about people who believe that their self-worth is connected to having a life EQUIVALENT to others.

I have written before that the greatest sin of the 21st century is comparison to others. We get bombarded by the perception we view on social media on just how wonderful everyone is. That is just not true, it is a myth.

Too many of us forget that everyone has highs and lows. That everyone has good days and bad days. We all have joys and sorrows. The trap of EQUIVALENCE is we feel a disconnect when we attempt to match our internal feelings to how someone appears to us externally. That is a formula that will never work in your favor. The reason is the perception that everyone is perfect and has it all together is flawed. We all are a work in progress.

Each of us is unique. If you accept that then it becomes impossible for anyone to become EQUIVALENT to us because of that uniqueness. Each of us should be focused on becoming the best version of ourselves. Our focus should not be attempting to become the equal to anyone else.

When we take on 30 Day Challenges, creating Vision Boards, or writing down goals we begin a journey to become the best version of ourselves not the EQUIVALENT of someone else. The secret sauce for happiness is a life focused on improving not constant comparison.

Attempting to elevate ourselves daily is plenty good enough. There is nothing that EQUALS that.
