#Duet August 7

So as part of my 30 Day “Do Something New Each Day” Challenge for August I did a car karaoke DUET with my wife on Saturday during our drive to Ocean Isle, NC. We were there to visit long time friends Dave and Amy Vandenberg and left Ocean Isle before Isaias arrived.

I have never done a car karaoke DUET so it qualifies as a new experience for the challenge.

Just in case anyone is curious there are no recordings of us replicating “I Go Blind” by Hootie and the Blowfish band members Darius Rucker and Mark Bryan.

Thankfully for you the reader there is footage of Hootie & the Blowfish singing the song. You will just have to take my word for it that our DUET was close to theirs, if you consider noise and music being close cousins.

The beauty of the DUET is someone else’s talent can often carry you. My wife did that for me as I tried something new.

Life is better when it is done as a DUET. That wasn’t a new concept for me but the car karaoke DUET reminded that we do better on a team than as a soloist.
