#Correction August 8

There is great anticipation in goal setting. You set your mind and energy on a specific target. The danger is that small mistakes made over a period of time without CORRECTION will cause you to miss the mark.

I have a friend named Jaclyn Donovan who is a talented leader who just happens to have her pilot license. The pic below is of Jaclyn and her husband Jack (who also has his pilot’s license).

When then Donovans get ready to fly somewhere they need to file a flight plan and then set a compass direction for their destination.

As I researched facts about flying I found out that being just one degree off course, will result in missing your landing spot by 92 feet for every mile you fly. On a short flight of just 60 miles you may miss the runway by a mile. Pilots have to constantly make CORRECTIONS.

When pursuing goals we need to realize will make mistakes. The secret is making CORRECTIONS immediately and get back on course. The big failures in life, business, relationships, or self improvement are often the result of delaying very small CORRECTIONS.

We all need a compass. That can come in the form of measurable goals, an accountability partner, or the ultimate is faith in GOD.

Don’t give up on your flight plan but do be ready to constantly make small CORRECTIONS.
