I believe that problems often can be solved with a unique SOLUTION. The answer sometimes is not found with traditional thinking.

I was watching an episode of Mountain Men that airs on the History Channel. The show featured two brothers named Kidd and Harry Youren who live in Idaho.

Here was their problem. They owned some property on the Salmon River but it was a remote location.  To give you an idea here is some footage of the Salmon River in Idaho.

The Youren’s wanted to build a small hunting cabin on that property but getting lumber there was going to be dicey, if not impossible by road. The only option was to get it there by boat but to do that you would have navigate whitewater and rapids. That wasn’t possible with traditional boats.

Well Kidd and Harry disregarded tradition and built a sweep boat.

Here is picture of what they built.

So their unique SOLUTION to get lumber to the cabin site was build a big wooden boat. Get that vessel to the cabin site and then take the boat apart and use the lumber for the cabin.

Who thinks of that?  Well apparently the Youren Brothers did. You can watch them on Mountain Men Season 9 Episode 8

Here are some SOLUTIONS for smaller problems around your home. The closet idea is gold.
