Today for the 30-Day Movie Coach4aday Challenge the film chosen is about BURMA.

The film I viewed aired on the TCM channel and was titled “Objective Burma”. It originally aired in 1945 during WW II. It was produced in black and white by Warner Brothers and starred Errol Flynn. Flynn earned $200,00 for his role in the movie.

What attracted me to this film was it was a war movie made during war. It is filled with cliches that describe the Japanese in less than flattering terms. Those choices represented what America was saying about their enemy in 1945.

The plot centers on a platoon that paratroops behind enemy lines. Scenes from this film of a platoon marching thru a jungle looked very realistic even in black and white.
